The Tombstones of Ahlat the Urartian and Ottoman citadel is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List as it is the biggest Turkish-Islamic cemetery. Works continue for site to be added to the heritage list from the tentative list. Various types of carvings and embossed works are found on the 8,200 tombstones at the Seljuk Square Cemetery.
