Over one million people marooned in Bangladesh’s northeastern border district of Sylhet
SYLHET, BANGLADESH, JUNE 17: Devastating flood has inundated all 13 sub-districts of the northeastern border district of Sylhet, marooning over 1 million people and causing huge damages to houses, academic institutes, and properties. Thousands of people have taken shelter in different safe areas including floating boats. Affected people have been suffering from an acute crisis of food, drinking water, and other basic needs.
