ANTARCTICA (RECENT MARCH, 2022): Antarctica’s historical past includes not only the conquests made by these explorers, but fascinating stories of the trials and tribulations of men on pragmatic journeys.A sunken ship "Governoren", which one of the largest whaling ships, and is now sitting in freezing waters of the remote continent catches scientists' attention who come to the continent.Anadolu Agency Video News (AAVN) camera captured the wreck of the Governoren, which has become the symbol of Antarctica."Governoren" ran ashore in Foyn Harbor after a great fire broke out in Antarctica while returning from its last voyage in 1915.The fire is thought to started with the fall of a lamp after the celebration of the ship's personnel, who finished the ship's duty in 1915, on the return journey home.The masive ship which was filled with whale oil, sank with the effect of oils that feed the flames.The 85 crew members on board were rescued by another whaling vessel.In 1915, the Governoren was at sea, carrying out its duties as a floating factory.These large factory ships were known to produce more than 22,000 gallons of oil from hunted whales.
