GAZA, PALESTINE - JULY 24, 2025: A charity organization distributed hot meals to Palestinians in the Rimal neighborhood on Thursday, July 24, as families continue to struggle with food insecurity under Israel’s ongoing blockade.Dozens of Palestinians, including children, gathered at the distribution site, hoping to receive a portion of food.As Israel’s relentless and devastating attacks on the blockaded Gaza Strip continue, the humanitarian crisis in the region is deepening due to the ongoing blockade.Gaza has been under a heavy Israeli blockade and bombardment since October 2023, with tens of thousands killed and humanitarian agencies warning of a deepening famine.Israel has killed more than 59,500 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in the Gaza Strip since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, gutted the health system, and led to severe food shortages.Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.Writing by Ayse Elif Erdis
