At least 33 injured in Russian airstrikes on Kharkiv amid peace talks in Türkiye
KHARKIV, UKRAINE — JULY 24, 2025 — RESTRICTION: USERS MUST CREDIT 'STATE EMERGENCY SERVICE OF UKRAINE' HANDOUT, MUST NOT OBSCURE LOGO — EDITORIAL USE ONLY — Russia dropped two aerial bombs on the northeastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on Thursday, July 24, injuring at least 33 civilians, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.One strike reportedly hit near a residential building, while the other one targeted a civilian enterprise.Emergency crews arrived at the scene to extinguish the fires and assist affected civilians.The attack occurred as the third round of Russian-Ukrainian peace talks took place in Istanbul, Türkiye. Ukraine’s delegation proposed that Russia arrange a meeting between the two presidents by the end of August.
